I have always been interested in photography. My favourite subjects are sunrise, sunsets, landscapes, sports and flowers and wildlife.

I have only entered one competition - a Police Athletic Association sports event and won first prize - a Minolta Vectis APS camera that I continued to use for two or three years .

My first camera was a Russian made Kiev 4. I then progressed onto a Zenith SLR followed by a Practica SLR for which I had a variety of attachments and lenses. More recently I purchased a Fuji Finepix 4.0i.

Now using digital technology I am able to snap away without worry of cost and ensure that the best possible image is captured there and then. Though the camera is a compact with not much scope for special effects and telephoto the convenience of a pocket size ensures that I always have it handy where ever I am.

My current camera is a Panasonic Lumix TZ10. This is the best compact camera I have owned with a 12x optical zoom and wide angle lens it produces excellent quality pictures.
