Wiltshire Police are pleased to be hosting the 2019 10 mile road race event. The race will be held within the grounds of MOD Lyneham (Calne Road, Lyneham, SN15 4XX), the course is flat and traffic free (unfortunately the only thing we can’t guarantee is the weather), the course should make for some very fast times and some PB opportunities.
 
The event will start at 13:00. With registration open from 11:00.
 
Entry fee for the race is £15 per person, the race is chipped timed and officially measured to UKA standards.
To promote good working relations between police and the Military, the MOD will also have a number of participants taking part in the event, it will be clearly identifiable by way of a coloured race number to be worn on the back whether the person in front is a police or military entrant.
 
The course is subject to change however the initial planned route is a 2 lap course as shown below. Water stations and Marshalls will be on the course.
  
There are toilets available and areas available for changing however showers will not be available on site.

Evening Function
 
The evening function takes place at the same venue as the race, MOD Lyneham. 
This will consist of a sit down 3 course meal, please indicate on the team sheet of any dietary requirements. 
Entertainment will be in the form of the MOD band, Firing Blanks, followed by a DJ with the evening function closing at 01:00.
Please note that there is a 10 – 15 minute drive between the function venue and the hotel – you will need to be selfsufficient with transport between the hotel and the venue, although a short drive this is not a walkable route – some options are being explored to assist with transport however this cannot be guaranteed however a list of taxi numbers will also be made available nearer the time.
 
Cost for the evening function is £36 per person

Dress code for the evening function is Smart/Casual – No Jeans please.

For anyone needing to fly, the nearest airport is Bristol Airport which is approximately a 1 hour drive. If you are attending to travel by air please contact me and I will be able to advise of the best travel plans from the airport to the venue.
