In the vicinity of Sherwood Lodge, Nottinghamshire Police Headquarters, GR SK575507. Police HQ is signed from A614 and A60.
Event
This event will take place on Wednesday 28th April 2010 and is organised by PSUK Orienteering Club, in conjunction with Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Orienteering Club. It will combine the annual PSUK Championships with an inter-service competition between PSUK, RAF and the Army

Gently contoured, fairly runnable, mixed, woodland with a good path network.

A veteran is aged 40 years or over on 1 January 2010.
The Introductory course follows paths and other simple map features and is aimed to give a reasonably fit person a run of 40 to 60 minutes. Members of the same Force may compete competitively in pairs on this course. This course will provide a good challenge to those who are newcomers to the sport or who have limited orienteering experience.
Prizes will be awarded for all courses including men and women on course 4.
Prizes will also be awarded to best performances by RAF and Army orienteers.

Prizegiving and Meal
The prize giving will take place in the Police Headquarters Canteen where a hot meal and bar will also be available.
Fees
Entry: £8 per person Meal: £6.50 per person
Cheques payable to: 'PSUK Orienteering'
Note: It is possible that the meal arrangements may have to change at the last minute as the Force may have to close its canteen. If this happens, it will be advised to all participants closer to the date, together with the alternative arrangements.

Embargo
The areas of Blidworth Woods, Sansom Wood and Burnt Stump Country Park are embargoed until after the event. This also includes a prohibition on entering the forthcoming Robin Hood Trophy event on 7th February 2010.
